ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called hypomineralization, which affects the enamel of teeth, specifically looking at second primary molars in children. The main goal is to find out how common this condition, known as Hypomineralized Second Primary Molars (HSPM), is among Egyptian children aged 6 to 12 years. The researchers will also explore whether there is a link between HSPM and another condition called Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH), which can affect permanent teeth later on. This study is important because understanding these conditions early can help dentists provide better care and preventive measures for children who might be at risk of developing dental issues as they grow.
To participate in this study, children aged 6 to 12 years are eligible, and both boys and girls can take part. Parents or guardians will need to give their consent for their child to join the study. However, children with certain enamel defects or special health care needs, as well as those who are not Egyptian, will not be included. Since the study is not yet recruiting participants, families interested in this research will need to wait for further announcements about when enrollment will begin.
