ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help healthcare workers in nursing homes manage stress. It’s called a stress management program, which will be delivered through online classes. The goal is to see if this program can reduce stress for the workers and also improve the well-being of residents with dementia. Some workers will participate in the program, while others will be on a waiting list for the same program later.
To participate, individuals need to be caregivers, like nurses or nursing assistants, who have been working in the nursing home for at least three months. They also need to be comfortable understanding and communicating in French. During the study, those in the program will attend virtual sessions with a psychologist over two months and will complete surveys about their stress levels and the residents’ quality of life. After the study, everyone on the waiting list will get a chance to join the program as well.
