ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring how virtual reality (VR) and music can help reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality for women aged 20 to 65 who are undergoing gynecological surgery with general anesthesia. The study will compare how different types of relaxation techniques—using either verbal instructions or music—affect the patients' feelings of anxiety and depression before their surgery. It will also look at whether using VR tools helps patients better understand what to expect during their surgery and if they feel more satisfied with the information they received.

To be eligible for the study, participants should be women between 20 and 65 years old who are in good physical health (classified as ASA physical status 1-3). They should not have any cognitive, hearing, or visual impairments, and their surgery must not be canceled. Participants will receive educational materials about the surgery in both written and VR formats, and they will be randomly assigned to one of four groups to experience the different relaxation techniques. This study aims to make the surgical experience less stressful and more informative for patients.
