ClinConnect Summary
The PARTial BREast RECONstruction study is looking at the results of a specific type of breast surgery called partial breast reconstruction using chest wall perforator flaps. This study is for women with early-stage breast cancer who have already had a surgery to remove part of their breast, known as breast-conserving surgery. The goal is to see how well this reconstruction technique works in improving the appearance of the breast after treatment.
To participate in this study, women must be undergoing this type of reconstruction due to primary breast cancer and may have had previous surgeries that left their breast looking different. It’s important to note that only women whose doctors have experience with this specific type of surgery will be eligible. Participants can expect to receive care from skilled surgeons and contribute to valuable research that may help improve breast reconstruction options for future patients. The study is currently looking for volunteers and aims to gather important information about the effectiveness of this surgical approach.
