ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Cardiometry in Hypotensive and Pulmonary Congestion," is looking at a method called electrical cardiometry (EC) to help doctors understand how well a patient’s body responds to fluids and to measure fluid levels in the lungs. This is important for patients who are experiencing low blood pressure (shock) or fluid build-up in the lungs (pulmonary congestion). The study aims to see if EC can accurately provide this information, which could help doctors make better treatment decisions.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old. There are two groups of patients being studied: one group will have low blood pressure (less than 90/60), and the other group will have signs of extra fluid in their lungs. If you qualify and choose to participate, you will undergo simple tests using electrical cardiometry to help measure your body's fluid levels. It's important to know that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it offers a chance to contribute to research that could improve care for patients with similar health issues in the future.
