ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how blood pressure affects thinking and memory problems after someone has a stroke. Researchers want to understand if there’s a connection between high or low blood pressure and the risk of cognitive decline—meaning difficulty with thinking or remembering—after a stroke. This study is currently recruiting participants who are between 65 and 74 years old and have had a stroke confirmed by a CT or MRI scan. To be eligible, participants must have completed a standard memory test called the MMSE during their hospital stay and have been followed up for at least three months after their stroke.
If you or a family member are interested in participating, you should know that the study is looking for individuals who did not have memory problems before the stroke and don’t have any serious mental health issues or cancers. Participants will have their blood pressure and cognitive function monitored to help researchers gather important information that could improve care for future stroke survivors. This study aims to provide valuable insights into how managing blood pressure might help protect brain health after a stroke.
