ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) during a procedure called pleurodesis, which is done to treat a condition known as pneumothorax (a collapsed lung). The researchers want to find out if using NSAIDs can help manage pain better without increasing the chances of the pneumothorax coming back. While NSAIDs are commonly used for pain relief, there is some concern that they might interfere with the pleurodesis process. This study aims to determine if NSAIDs are safe and effective in this setting.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have pneumothorax that requires pleurodesis, which may include those undergoing a minor lung surgery. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical issues may not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect close monitoring to see how well the pain management works and to ensure your safety during the procedure. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it could help improve pain management strategies for future patients undergoing pleurodesis.
