ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at ways to improve how doctors diagnose and treat middle ear infections, also known as otitis media, in young children. The study will involve 40 pediatric doctors who frequently see these infections. They will be divided into four groups to test different methods: one group will receive personalized training on diagnosing ear infections, another group will use a new digital ear scope to look inside the ear, a third group will get both the training and the digital scope, and the last group will not receive any special intervention, serving as a comparison.
To participate in this trial, doctors need to be part of a specific organization and must have a history of diagnosing ear infections at a high rate. However, if they are already using a digital otoscope or if too many doctors from the same practice want to join, they won't be eligible. The trial will last for three months, and the goal is to see which method helps doctors make better decisions about treating ear infections in young children.
