ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how mobile games can help improve rehabilitation for patients recovering from thumb injuries. The goal is to see if playing games on a mobile phone can make patients more motivated to do their home exercises, which are crucial for restoring thumb function. Patients will be divided into two groups: one will receive standard rehabilitation treatment and the other will receive the same treatment along with mobile games like Temple Run and Angry Birds to play for 20-30 minutes at home. Researchers believe that using these games will lead to better recovery outcomes, including less pain and improved thumb movement.
To join the study, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have experienced pain or problems with their thumb, such as injuries or conditions like arthritis. Those who are included must be able to communicate well and have a smartphone. The study will take place at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University’s Hand Clinic, and participants can expect regular evaluations of their thumb function and overall progress. This trial is unique as it explores the use of mobile games in thumb rehabilitation, and the findings could influence future treatment approaches.
