ClinConnect Summary
The FPoC Trial is studying how a new app called Fissios can help improve recovery for patients with non-small cell lung cancer who are undergoing lung surgery. Researchers believe that adding this app, which offers guided breathing exercises, to standard physical therapy sessions before and after surgery might lower the chances of experiencing complications after the operation. The trial will include about 560 patients, who will either use the app along with regular physical therapy or just attend the traditional therapy sessions.
To participate, you need to be over 18 years old and scheduled for lung surgery due to lung cancer. You should also have a smartphone that can run the Fissios app and be willing to commit to the study. If you join, you will attend physical therapy sessions for at least 45 minutes, five times before and after your surgery. This study aims to see if using the app can make a real difference in your recovery and overall well-being.
