ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well different healthcare professionals can assess a patient's pupils, which are small openings in the eyes that can tell us a lot about a person's brain health. The trial includes senior doctors, anesthesiology residents, and nurses to see how accurately they can perform this important task. Pupil assessment is particularly important in intensive care settings, as it helps doctors understand how patients are responding to treatments and their overall neurological condition.
To participate in this study, you need to be hospitalized in an intensive care unit and be able to give your consent, or have a trusted person provide consent for you if you are unable to do so. Unfortunately, if you are under 18 years old, having eye surgery, or unable to have both pupils evaluated, you won't be able to join. If you participate, there’s no treatment involved; the focus is solely on how well the different professionals assess your pupils. Your involvement can help improve the way healthcare providers evaluate patients in critical situations.
