ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how education and a method called motivational interviewing can help patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) stick to their treatment plans and take better care of themselves. The researchers believe that by providing support and education, patients may feel more empowered and motivated to manage their condition effectively.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be aged 65 to 74, have been diagnosed with COPD for at least six months, and be able to communicate without issues. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive the educational support and motivational interviewing, while the other will not. Before and after the program, both groups will complete tests to measure any changes in their treatment adherence and self-care abilities. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to better understand how these supportive methods can improve the lives of those living with COPD.
