ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether virtual reality (VR) technology can help make the oocyte retrieval process during in vitro fertilization (IVF) less painful and less stressful for women. Oocyte retrieval is a procedure where doctors collect eggs from a woman’s ovaries, and while it’s usually quick, many women report feeling a lot of pain or discomfort. The goal of this study is to see if using VR can reduce pain, improve satisfaction, and help women feel more relaxed during the procedure.
To participate in this trial, women must be adults and preparing for their first oocyte retrieval. However, there are some reasons someone might not be eligible, such as having severe visual impairments or certain medical conditions like epilepsy or heart disease. Participants will get to try VR technology during their procedure, and researchers will gather information on how well it works for reducing pain and anxiety. This study aims to improve the experience for women undergoing IVF by finding new ways to manage discomfort.
