ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new mobile app called CANQUIT, designed to help regular cannabis users reduce or quit their cannabis use. The study will involve 120 participants aged between 18 and 30 years who have used cannabis at least once in the past month and have access to a smartphone and the internet. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the CANQUIT app, which includes guided support based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or a self-help guide app that offers general advice.
During the trial, participants will be followed for different periods, including one month, three months, and six months, to see how effective the app is in helping them change their cannabis use. The researchers also want to understand the economic impact of the app, looking at whether the benefits outweigh the costs. This study aims to provide valuable information that could help shape policies about cannabis use and promote better health for young adults in Spain. If you meet the criteria and choose to participate, you can expect to engage with the app and provide feedback on your experience.
