ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called CAPPA, is looking to see if a health coaching program combined with a Fitbit can help employees with chronic knee pain become more active. The goal is to find out if more people in the health coaching group can reach at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity each week compared to those who receive basic health education and a Fitbit without the coaching. Researchers also want to see if they can predict who might struggle to reach these activity goals based on data collected from the Fitbit during the first month of the study.
To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old, currently employed at a participating workplace, and have been experiencing knee pain or stiffness regularly over the past year. During the study, participants will take part in an online orientation, complete three assessment sessions over six months, and receive health coaching sessions over 12 weeks. The coaching will help create personalized action plans to improve physical activity and provide education on managing knee symptoms and overall well-being. If you're interested and meet the eligibility criteria, this could be a great opportunity to improve your health and stay active!
