ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to placing zygomatic implants, which are special dental implants used for patients with a atrophic maxilla, a condition where the upper jaw bone has lost volume. The researchers want to find out if using new surgical guides can help place these implants more accurately compared to the traditional freehand method. By improving the safety and precision of this procedure, the goal is to make it easier for both patients and surgeons.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 80 years old and agree to undergo some imaging tests before and after the procedure. However, certain conditions may exclude you, such as smoking more than 10 cigarettes a day, a history of alcohol abuse, or recent cancer treatment. If you decide to join, you can expect to receive detailed information about the procedure and the care you'll receive throughout the trial. This is a great opportunity to contribute to research that might improve dental implant procedures for future patients.
