ClinConnect Summary
The "Cp eArly REhabilitation" trial is studying how effective play-based rehabilitation is for children with cerebral palsy. This type of therapy is being tested in a rehabilitation center that provides both intensive and extensive care. The study aims to find out which format of rehabilitation works better: an intensive approach where children receive therapy three times a day for five days a week over three weeks, or an extensive approach where they receive therapy three times a week for 15 weeks at community centers. By comparing these two methods, researchers hope to learn if the amount of time spent in therapy affects the children's progress.
Children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years who have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy due to various causes may be eligible to participate in this trial. However, children with severe hearing or vision impairments, or those with certain neurological conditions, will not be included. Families participating in the trial can expect their child to engage in fun, play-based activities aimed at improving their skills in a supportive environment. This study is still recruiting participants, so there is an opportunity for eligible families to get involved and help improve rehabilitation methods for children with cerebral palsy.
