ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving eye care for adults with intellectual disabilities (ID). Researchers are developing a special tool that caregivers can use to identify common vision problems in these individuals, since such issues are often hard to spot. The goal is to create a reliable scale that will help caregivers recognize potential eye conditions, ensuring that adults with ID receive timely and appropriate eye care.
To participate in the study, you must be at least 20 years old and be a primary caregiver for an adult with ID. One key requirement is that you should be able to communicate in Mandarin or Taiwanese. Throughout the trial, participants will help in testing and validating this new eye condition detection tool. This project is important because it aims to make sure that those with intellectual disabilities get the eye care they need, which is often overlooked.
