ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to perform certain endoscopic procedures, specifically for patients with conditions like achalasia and gastroparesis. These procedures, known as e-POEM and g-POEM, help relieve symptoms by treating problems in the esophagus and stomach. The study will use a disposable endoscope, which is a thin, flexible tube with a camera that doctors use to see inside the body. The goal is to see if this new tool is safe, effective, and works well for patients undergoing these procedures.
To participate in the trial, patients must be at least 18 years old and able to give their consent to join the study. If they are considering an e-POEM or g-POEM procedure, they can be screened for eligibility by the study team. Throughout the trial, all participants will receive standard medical care, and there will be no experimental treatments involved. It's important to note that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it offers a chance for patients to be part of a study that could improve future treatments for these conditions.
