ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how thyroid problems might relate to a condition called metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD). The researchers want to understand how common thyroid dysfunction is among people with MAFLD and if there is a connection between the two. The study is currently recruiting participants, and anyone aged 18 and older can join as long as they have MAFLD. However, people with a history of thyroid disease or treatment, those who consume a lot of alcohol, or those with certain other liver conditions like viral hepatitis cannot participate.
If you decide to take part in this trial, you will help researchers learn more about these conditions, which may lead to better treatment options in the future. Participants will undergo assessments and tests related to their thyroid and liver health. This is an important study because understanding the link between thyroid issues and liver disease can help improve care for many patients.
