ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how stiffness in the arteries relates to lung and other body features in people with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a type of arthritis that mainly affects the spine. The researchers want to understand if there is a connection between these two factors in patients. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to include adults between the ages of 18 and 65 who have been diagnosed with AS and have been stable on their medications for at least three months.
If you’re considering participating, you should be aware of some important criteria. You will need to have a confirmed diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis and be willing to take part voluntarily. However, if you have uncontrolled heart or lung diseases, are pregnant, have had recent surgery, or have cancer, you won’t be eligible for this study. Participants in the trial can expect to undergo assessments related to their condition, helping researchers gather valuable information that could improve understanding and treatment of AS in the future.
