ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the side effects that can occur in the muscles and nerves of patients who are treated with MEK inhibitors, which are medications used primarily for certain types of cancer, like metastatic melanoma. Specifically, the researchers want to learn more about conditions such as myositis, myasthenia gravis, neuropathy, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and Parsonage Turner syndrome that can arise from these treatments. Although these complications have been reported in a few individual cases, this study aims to gather more comprehensive information on how often they occur and how they affect patients.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be over 18 years old and have experienced neuromuscular problems after receiving MEK inhibitors, whether alone or in combination with other treatments. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, but once it begins, those who join can expect to share their experiences and have their health monitored to help understand these complications better. This information will be valuable for doctors in making informed decisions about patient care when using these cancer treatments in the future.
