ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how the location of a special group of lymph nodes, called pelvic sentinel lymph nodes (SLN), relates to nearby veins in women with early-stage endometrial cancer. The researchers want to understand if the presence or absence of certain veins in the uterus can help them predict where these lymph nodes might be found during surgery. This is important because knowing where these lymph nodes are can improve the effectiveness of the surgery and help doctors determine the stage of cancer.

To participate in this study, women aged 65 to 74 who have early-stage endometrial cancer and are scheduled for surgery may be eligible. However, those who have had previous radiation therapy, certain types of lymph node surgery, or other medical conditions that would prevent them from undergoing the procedure will not be included. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your lymph nodes examined during your surgery, which may help improve understanding of how these lymph nodes are located and their role in cancer treatment.
