ClinConnect Summary
The MyPEEPS Mobile Plus trial is studying a new way to help young men who have sex with men (YMSM) prevent HIV infection. This program uses a mobile app to deliver important information and support about HIV prevention, especially focusing on a method called PrEP, which is a medication that helps keep HIV-negative people from getting HIV. Researchers want to see if using this app along with virtual support from peers can help more young men start using PrEP and reduce risky behaviors that could lead to HIV infection.
To be part of this trial, participants need to be between 17 and 25 years old, identify as male, non-binary, or genderqueer, and have had condomless sex with a male partner in the past year. They must also be HIV-negative and have access to a smartphone. Participants will receive guidance and support through the app, and the study aims to create a better understanding of how mobile technology can help prevent HIV in this high-risk group. If you're interested in joining, it's a chance to help improve HIV prevention strategies for young men like you.
