ClinConnect Summary
The MyPEEPS LITE Trial is a research study aimed at finding better ways to prevent HIV infections among young men who have sex with men and non-binary individuals assigned male at birth. The study will involve 2,500 participants aged 16 to 29 years and will compare a new mobile health program called MyPEEPS Mobile to standard care. The goal is to see if using this mobile program can help reduce new HIV infections in people who are at high risk.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between 16 and 29 years old, identify as male or non-binary, live in the U.S., and own a smartphone. They also need to have had anal sex with someone who has a penis in the past year and be HIV-negative or unaware of their status. Those who identify as transgender are not eligible for this study. Participants will receive guidance and support throughout the trial and will help researchers understand how community-based messages can improve HIV prevention efforts.
