ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help doctors diagnose lung issues, specifically focusing on small growths in the lungs called pulmonary nodules, which might be cancerous. The study will compare two methods of taking tissue samples from these nodules—using a special tool called biopsy forceps and another method called needle aspiration—both guided by advanced imaging techniques. The goal is to see which method is safer and more effective in determining whether these nodules are benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous).
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a pulmonary nodule that doctors suspect could be lung cancer based on a CT scan. You should also be planning to have a bronchoscopic lung biopsy, which is a procedure to collect tissue samples from your lungs. However, if you have certain health issues, like bleeding disorders or are pregnant, you may not be eligible. Those who join the trial can expect to undergo a biopsy procedure while being closely monitored for safety. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to improve how we diagnose lung conditions in the future.
