ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how certain laser eye surgeries, like LASIK and cataract surgery, affect inflammation and recovery in patients by looking at something called oxidative stress, which is basically a type of damage that can happen in the body after surgery. The researchers want to see if these advanced laser techniques can help reduce this damage and improve healing, especially in patients who may have lower levels of antioxidants, which are substances that help protect our cells from harm.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 20 years old and be scheduled for either corneal refractive surgery (like LASIK) or cataract surgery. However, if you have an eye infection, severe eye injury, or serious retinal disease, you won't be eligible to join. If you're part of the study, you’ll help researchers learn more about how these new laser technologies can benefit patients and improve recovery after surgery. The trial is currently looking for participants, so if you think you might qualify, it could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research in eye health!
