ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to see if a computer alert system can help doctors find and manage patients with a genetic condition called Familial Hypercholesterolemia, which causes very high levels of cholesterol. The main goal is to determine if this alert can make it easier for doctors to recognize this condition, which is important for preventing heart disease.
To participate in the study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been seen at specific clinics for endocrine or heart-related care. You also need to meet certain criteria that suggest a higher risk for this condition. If you already have a diagnosis of Familial Hypercholesterolemia noted in your medical records, you won't be eligible to join. If you do participate, you can expect to contribute to important research that could help improve how this condition is identified and treated in the future. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there’s no need to take action just yet.
