ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking to understand how often acute kidney injuries (AKI) occur in adults with other health conditions who are undergoing a procedure called colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is a common test that helps doctors examine the inside of the colon and rectum. The researchers want to find out if certain health issues affect the risk of kidney problems during this procedure.

To be part of the trial, participants need to be adults over 18 years old with a specific level of kidney function (measured by something called eGFR, which should be greater than 30 ml/min). However, those with more serious kidney issues, certain heart conditions, or other specific health problems will not be included. The trial is still in the planning stages and has not started recruiting participants yet. If you or a loved one are considering participating, it’s important to discuss any health concerns with your doctor to see if you meet the criteria.
