ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two scoring systems, the Revised Trauma Score (RTS) and the MGAP score, to see which one better predicts the outcomes for patients with multiple injuries after a traumatic event. The goal is to find out which score can more accurately indicate how well a patient might do, including their chances of survival. Researchers will also look at whether one scoring method works better for certain groups of trauma patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must arrive at the trauma center within 6 hours of their injury and have complete medical information available. Patients will be assessed using both scoring systems when they are admitted, and their health outcomes will be monitored during their hospital stay. This study is open to all adults aged 18 and older, and participation requires consent from the patient or their legal representative. However, patients who have died before assessment, those with incomplete medical data, or pregnant women will not be eligible for the study.
