ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different types of exercise can help choir singers breathe better and improve their singing performance. Specifically, it looks at the effects of diaphragmatic breathing exercises, which focus on using the diaphragm to breathe more effectively, and aerobic exercises, which include activities that get your heart pumping, like brisk walking or cycling. The goal is to find out if combining these two types of exercises is more beneficial than just using diaphragmatic breathing exercises alone.

To be part of this study, participants need to be between 25 and 60 years old, sing in an active choir that meets at least once a week, and have a low level of physical activity. Those with certain health conditions, such as neurological issues or heart and lung problems, cannot participate. Participants will undergo various tests to measure their breathing and singing abilities before and after the exercise training. This research could provide valuable insights into improving respiratory health and performance for choir singers.
