ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how a condition called vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC) affects the shape and surface of the cornea, which is the clear front part of the eye. Researchers will use a special tool called Pentacam to measure these changes in VKC patients and see how often a related condition called keratoconus (KC) develops in these individuals. The trial is not yet open for participants, but it aims to gather important information to help manage VKC better.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to have a clinical diagnosis of vernal keratoconjunctivitis. However, individuals with certain eye problems, like corneal opacities (cloudiness), previous corneal surgeries, or eye injuries, cannot participate. If someone is eligible, they can expect to undergo tests that will help researchers learn more about VKC and its impact on eye health. This study could provide valuable insights for future treatments and care for those with VKC.
