ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether the drug montelukast can help prevent liver enzyme elevations in adults who have dengue fever. Dengue is a viral infection that can cause serious illness, and doctors want to see if montelukast can help reduce some of the complications associated with it. The trial will also look at how safe montelukast is for patients.
To participate in this study, you must be over 18 years old and have a confirmed dengue infection. You will need to be admitted to the hospital and provide written consent to join. It’s important to note that people with certain conditions, like severe liver problems or those who are pregnant, cannot participate. If you join the study, you’ll be monitored closely for any side effects while taking the medication. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information about treating dengue with montelukast.
