ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how a special training method, called simulation-based learning, can help people who have a stoma feel more confident and skilled in caring for their stoma. A stoma is an opening created during surgery that allows waste to leave the body. The researchers want to find out if this hands-on learning experience can reduce worries about stoma care, improve practical skills, and boost the participants' confidence in managing their care.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have a new intestinal stoma, and be able to speak and understand Turkish. They should also be open to participating and willing to be interviewed. During the trial, participants will fill out some questionnaires about their background and feelings of anxiety, receive education about stoma care through verbal instructions and demonstrations, and then practice caring for their stoma on their own. The study will help determine if this approach makes a positive difference in how patients manage their stoma care.
