ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well a specific procedure, called primary PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention), works for patients who have a blockage in a heart artery known as the left circumflex artery (LCx). This blockage is related to a heart condition called STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction), which is a serious type of heart attack. The trial aims to understand how successful this procedure is and what short-term health outcomes patients experience after the treatment.
To be part of this study, patients need to be adults who are experiencing a STEMI and have been treated at Assiut University heart hospital. They must have a blockage in the LCx artery as the only problem found during their treatment. Unfortunately, patients who are in severe heart failure or have multiple blockages in their arteries won't be included in the trial. While this study is not yet recruiting participants, those who do take part can expect to undergo the PCI procedure and will be monitored closely to see how they recover in the short term.
