ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to teach nursing students how to measure vital signs, which are important indicators of a person's health, like heart rate and blood pressure. The study will involve 100 first-year nursing students, who will be split into two groups. One group will learn using a modern presentation style called PechaKucha, which features short, engaging slides, while the other group will use a traditional PowerPoint presentation. Before and after the training, all students will take tests to check their understanding and skills related to vital signs.
To participate in this study, students need to be first-year nursing students currently enrolled in their program and willing to give their consent. However, students who are foreign nationals, repeating the course, or have certain health issues that could affect their participation won't be eligible. By the end of the trial, both groups will be assessed on their practical skills, and their feedback will be collected to see how they felt about the different teaching methods. This study aims to find out if the PechaKucha method helps students learn better compared to traditional methods.
