ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new device called SaCoVLM™ to see how well it helps with breathing during surgery when patients are under general anesthesia. The researchers want to compare how this device performs against a traditional method using a fiberoptic bronchoscope, which is a tool that lets doctors look inside the airway. They will look at how accurately the two devices provide images of the airway, as well as how easy they are to use, whether they cause any complications, and how well patients recover afterward.
To participate in this study, individuals should be between 18 and 65 years old, have a healthy body mass index (BMI), and be scheduled for a surgery that lasts less than two hours. Certain conditions may exclude someone from participating, such as smoking or having a history of airway problems. Participants can expect to undergo standard procedures for anesthesia, and their experiences will help researchers understand which method works better for safely managing airways during surgery. This study is not yet recruiting participants, so there’s still time for those interested to learn more or discuss with their healthcare provider.
