ClinConnect Summary
This study is testing whether the PERAN SADAR app can help parents, teachers, and children learn to prevent sexual abuse. It is being done with elementary school students ages 10 to 12 in Sumedang, West Java, Indonesia, and about 88 participants are planned. Everyone in the study receives the PERAN SADAR app (there is no separate comparison group).
Participants will use the app for nine days, with daily lessons delivered as videos, songs, documents, and other content. Over the following month, parents at home and teachers at school are encouraged to share safety information with children. Children will take a knowledge quiz before and after the program; parents and teachers will answer questions about knowledge, attitudes toward prevention, self-awareness, and how they communicate about safety, also before and after. The study started in December 2024 and aims to finish around December 2025; results are not yet available. It is not regulated by the U.S. FDA.
