ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether a one-time session to help with depression can be effective for young people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). The main goal is to see if this single-session intervention is easy to carry out, if patients find it helpful, and if it can improve their mood. Researchers will compare the results of those who participate in this intervention with a group that receives general education about T1D to see if the intervention really makes a difference in reducing feelings of sadness.
To take part in this study, participants need to be between 11 and 18 years old, have been diagnosed with T1D for at least six months, and have shown signs of depression according to a specific screening tool. They should not currently be receiving mental health care. If eligible, participants will attend one session, answer some questionnaires before and after the session, and provide a sample for a diabetes test at different times. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to help improve the mental health and overall well-being of youth living with T1D.
