ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the way people feel pain can affect their psychological well-being and daily functioning in those with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Osteoarthritis is a condition that causes pain and stiffness in the joints, and researchers want to understand how exaggerating bodily sensations and feelings of fear about movement (called kinesiophobia) can impact a person's experience of pain and their overall mental health.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis and have been experiencing knee pain for at least six months. The trial is open to adults of all genders, aged between 18 and 80 years. Those who have other rheumatological diseases or have recently injured their knee in an accident will not be able to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo assessments that will help researchers learn more about the relationship between pain, psychological status, and daily function in people with knee OA. This information could help improve treatment and support for those living with the condition.
