ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial aims to create a new way to estimate the size of certain teeth in children aged 12 to 15 years old. Specifically, the researchers want to measure the width of the canines and premolars (the pointed and flat teeth in the back of the mouth) in Egyptian children using digital tools. By analyzing these measurements, they hope to develop a formula that can help predict the size of teeth that have not yet come in.
To participate in this study, children must be between 12 and 15 years old and have a full set of permanent teeth, from the left first molar to the right first molar. Importantly, they should not have had any previous orthodontic treatments (like braces) that could affect the measurements. Additionally, children with certain health issues or known sensitivities to dental materials won’t be eligible. For those who do join, they can expect to undergo a simple teeth measurement process that will contribute to important dental research. This study is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it promises to provide valuable insights into dental health for children.
