ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how we can use breath samples to identify gestational diabetes early in women who are at high risk. Gestational diabetes is a condition that can occur during pregnancy and may affect both the mother and the baby. The researchers want to find new breath markers that can signal the presence of this condition and use advanced computer models to help predict it. This study will involve women aged 18 to 55 who are between 11 and 14 weeks pregnant and have at least one risk factor for gestational diabetes, such as being overweight or having a family history of diabetes.

Participants in this trial will be asked to provide breath samples and will need to agree to participate by signing a consent form. It's important to note that women who have certain health conditions, like diabetes before pregnancy or severe lung diseases, cannot take part in this study. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who are eligible will have the opportunity to contribute to important research that could help improve the health of mothers and babies in the future.
