ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different types of blood anticoagulants affect a specific blood test called the PFA (Platelet Function Analyser) test, which helps doctors understand how well your blood can form clots. The researchers want to compare the results from using a regular anticoagulant called citrate with another type called BAPA, which is thought to impact the blood platelets less. This comparison will help determine if one type of anticoagulant is better for accurate testing.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults who have agreed to take part and are receiving care for bleeding disorders at a specialized clinic. They should also be having a PFA test done as part of their regular medical care; this test will not be added just for the study. However, individuals under legal protection, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those unable to give consent cannot participate. If you join the study, you'll simply have your blood drawn during your regular visit, and the study team will handle the rest. Your participation could help improve how these tests are done in the future!
