ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how circulating tumor cells (CTCs) behave in a lab setting called an organoid culture, specifically for patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). CTCs are cancer cells that travel in the bloodstream, and understanding them better may help researchers figure out why some cancers come back after treatment. The study aims to grow and test these CTCs with different cancer drugs to see how they respond and to look for changes in their genes that might help explain cancer spread.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and willing to have blood drawn. You can join if you are a healthy volunteer who hasn't had cancer for over five years or if you have metastatic HNSCC. If you join, you can expect to contribute to important research that could improve cancer treatment in the future. This study is currently recruiting participants and offers a chance to help advance our understanding of cancer.
