ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different methods for providing regional anesthesia, which is a type of pain relief used during certain surgeries. The trial is comparing traditional landmark-based techniques, which rely on feeling for specific body points to place a needle, with ultrasound-guided techniques that use real-time imaging to see the nerves and muscles. The goal is to determine which method works better and is safer for patients in Egypt, especially for those undergoing surgery on their upper limbs.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult aged 18 to 65 who is scheduled for upper limb surgery and can give informed consent. However, certain conditions might prevent you from being eligible, such as infections at the injection site, severe bleeding disorders, or specific anatomical issues. If you join the trial, you can expect close monitoring and care as the researchers assess which anesthesia technique provides the best outcomes for patients like you. This study aims to improve pain management practices tailored to the unique needs of Egyptian patients.
