ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different combinations of medications used for sedation during endoscopy procedures, which are tests that allow doctors to examine the upper or lower gastrointestinal system. The researchers want to see how well Dexmedetomidine combined with Propofol works compared to Ketamine combined with Propofol. They will look at how stable patients' vital signs are during the procedure and check for any side effects afterward, such as confusion, nausea, vomiting, headaches, or feeling agitated.

To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old and in generally good health, meaning you have a low risk for complications from anesthesia. However, if you have serious health issues like severe heart or lung problems, liver or kidney failure, or certain infections, you won't be eligible. If you decide to join, you can expect to receive one of the sedation combinations and be monitored closely throughout your procedure. Your participation could help improve sedation practices for future patients undergoing similar tests.
