ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using cold steam can help reduce nausea and vomiting in patients who have just had laparoscopic abdominal surgery. The researchers want to see if applying cold vapor can not only lessen these uncomfortable feelings but also reduce the need for medication to treat nausea and improve overall patient satisfaction after surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be adults aged 18 and older who are undergoing elective abdominal surgery with general anesthesia. They should not have severe nausea or vomiting before the treatment and must be able to understand and agree to participate. Patients who meet these criteria can expect to receive cold steam therapy after their surgery and share their experiences regarding its effectiveness in reducing nausea and vomiting. This trial is still in the planning stages and is not yet recruiting participants.
