ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different types of resistance training exercises can affect pain sensitivity in healthy individuals. Specifically, the researchers want to see if exercising the upper or lower body can help reduce pain when pressure is applied, a phenomenon known as exercise-induced hypoalgesia. Participants will be divided into three groups: one group will focus on lower body exercises, another on upper body exercises, and a third group will not do any exercise. The trial will measure how much pressure participants can tolerate on their thighs and elbows before feeling pain.

To be eligible for this study, participants should be healthy adults aged between 18 and 64 years, without any ongoing pain or serious health conditions like heart, breathing, or neurological problems. If you join, you can expect to perform specific resistance exercises, and the researchers will monitor your pain response before and after the exercises to see how each type of training impacts your sensitivity to pain. This study is currently looking for volunteers, so if you're interested and meet the criteria, you might have a chance to contribute to valuable research on exercise and pain management!
