ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a treatment called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) can help people regain their sense of smell after losing it due to COVID-19. Many individuals who have had COVID-19 experience anosmia, which is the medical term for the inability to smell. The researchers want to see if OMT can be a helpful option for recovery, especially since there are not many treatments available for this issue.
To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have had a positive COVID-19 test along with a self-reported loss of smell. Unfortunately, pregnant individuals and those with certain medical conditions or medications that might affect the sense of smell cannot join. If you take part in the trial, you can expect to receive OMT sessions and be monitored by healthcare professionals to see how well this treatment works for restoring your sense of smell. The study is currently looking for participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to apply.
