ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new approach to help veterans who have opioid use disorder (OUD) and may also be at risk for infectious diseases like HIV and Hepatitis C. The goal is to see if combining treatment for both OUD and infectious diseases into one appointment at the VA clinic can improve the health of veterans while saving them time and money, as many currently have to visit different clinics for each issue.
To participate in the trial, you need to be a U.S. veteran living in certain New York counties, diagnosed with moderate to severe opioid use disorder, and willing to undergo testing for infectious diseases. Participants will be asked to provide consent and be part of this integrated care approach, which aims to make it easier for them to get the support they need. It's important to note that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available once it starts.
